Projects in Embedded Systems 2002 - 2009
1) MOST Audio Amplifier Application for BMW
my role: MOST Consultant, Coordinator and Software Developer;
my part: software design and implementation of the FBlocks requested by the device, integration of MOST NetServices v.1.x.10-SR-10 into the application and development framework Standard Core v. 6.7.2 (BMW), design and implementation of the UDS diagnostic for the device, create application’s specification and Unit Tests, Code Review, static MOST tests, configure the device for MOST Compliance Test v. 1.2. My team was composed of three members located in Germany and five members located in India. For this project, I had to analyze the customer requirements, write the technical specification in DOORS and the test specification for the MOST Compliance tests. In the next step, I created the integration plan for the MOST NetServices stack and designed the new software for the FBlocks used in the application. I also had to search, propose, design and implement optimal solutions for UDS Diagnostic. Another task was to create and execute proprietary TestUnits for MISRA C/C++ compliance tests and create and execute the test suite for MOST Compliance tests. I was also responsible for proposing work packages for each team member.
2) Navigation System for BMW
my role: to assure the smooth portability of MOST from SH4 RISC processor to Power PC, to create CAN-MOST bridge communication and to integrate the existing code into Diablo Compiler. I coordinated a team of four members. The project required to analyze the existing code and to modularize it in order to create the steps in which the portability was able to be performed smoothly, without the need to make major changes in the application design. I also established the necessary of human resources for the project and create the work packages. I designed and performed the test suites for the new HW / SW environment with focus on the MOST Compatibility tests.
